Do I need an inverter or an inverter/charger?

An inverter only makes AC power from your batteries. An inverter/charger, like the Freedom series, also charges the batteries from shore power or a generator and switches your AC loads between sources automatically. If you plug in at the dock, an inverter/charger usually replaces two separate boxes.

Which Xantrex charger works with my batteries?

Pick a charger with a charge profile that matches your battery type (flooded, AGM, gel, or lithium) and size it to your bank. Check the specific model's specifications for your chemistry, or call us and we will confirm it.

Do I need a remote panel?

It is optional, but a remote panel lets you check status and change settings from the helm or nav station instead of crawling to wherever the unit is mounted.
