Marinco — Shore Power Connections and Boat Electrical Hardware
Marinco is best known for the plugs, cords, and inlets that connect a boat to the dock. Its line covers 30A and 50A shore power inlets, cordsets, replacement plugs and connectors, adapters for mismatched pedestals, and weatherproof covers, along with SeaLink 12V and USB receptacles, ConnectPro and trolling motor connectors, GFCI outlets, horns, windshield wipers, spotlights, and solar vents.
Why Marinco
Shore power is the highest-current AC connection most boats have, and it runs for hours at a time. Marinco's locking plugs, matched connectors, and sealing covers make it possible to keep the whole path from pedestal to inlet built from parts designed to work together, which matters because a loose or corroded connection anywhere along that path is where heat starts.
Shore Power Inspections & Upgrades
A burned plug or inlet is often a symptom, not the whole problem. We inspect the full shore power path, from cord ends and inlet to the wiring and main breaker behind it, and replace what's damaged. Contact us to schedule a shore power inspection or upgrade.
Marinco FAQ
How do I know if my boat is 30A or 50A?
Look at the inlet face and the main shore power breaker on the AC panel; both show the rating. A 50A inlet has a larger body and a different blade pattern than a 30A inlet. Match every cord, plug, and adapter to that rating.
What are the warning signs of a failing shore power connection?
Discoloration or melting on the plug or inlet, a plug that feels warm after running loads, a loose fit, or green corrosion on the blades. Any of these means the connection should be replaced before it gets worse. See plugs & connectors.
Do I need a weatherproof cover?
It's worth it. Keeping water and salt out of the inlet and plug slows the corrosion that leads to heat damage, both when you're plugged in and when the inlet is closed.
Can you install or inspect my shore power?
Yes. We handle shore power inspections and installs throughout Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay. Call (410) 263-0807 or contact us.
