Should I choose USB-A or USB-C sockets?
Most newer phones, tablets, and laptops charge over USB-C, and USB-C sockets generally charge them faster. USB-A still covers older devices and many cables already aboard. A socket with both covers the whole crew.
Where should I mount a socket?
Pick a spot where you'll actually use it, and where the cable won't snag or hang in the way. Out in the cockpit, choose a socket with a cover and keep it out of standing water. Run its feed with properly sized tinned primary wire.
