Scanstrut Cable Seals & Junction Boxes
Scanstrut Cable Seals in Annapolis
Scanstrut DS-Series cable seals let you pass a cable through the deck with its connector still attached, then seal around it. Vertical, horizontal, double, multi-cable, and low-profile versions come in plastic, black, and stainless, along with Starlink-compatible seals and junction boxes. Choose by the largest connector that has to pass through, then the cable diameter.
A leaking deck penetration can rot a core. Call (410) 263-0807 and we'll seal it properly.

Scanstrut Cable Seals & Junction Boxes FAQ
How do I install a cable seal on a cored deck?
Drill the hole, then dig out and fill the exposed core around it with thickened epoxy so water can never reach the core. Bed the seal in a marine sealant and fasten it down. Skipping the core sealing step is the most common cause of a wet deck around a penetration.
Should I choose a vertical or horizontal seal?
It depends on where the cable comes from. A vertical seal suits a cable dropping straight down from above, like from an arch or mast. A horizontal seal suits a cable running along the deck or coming in from the side.
Can several cables share one deck penetration?
Yes. Double and multi-cable seals take more than one cable through a single hole, which means fewer holes in the deck. Size the seal for the largest connector and confirm it fits each cable diameter. Use it with a radar or Starlink mount to bring all the cables in at one point.
