Marinco GFCI Outlets
Marinco GFCI Outlets in Annapolis
Marinco ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) receptacles in white and ivory for a boat's 120V AC outlets. A GFCI watches for current leaking to ground and cuts power quickly, which is why they're used in galleys, heads, and outlets near water.
Call (410) 263-0807 if you need AC outlets added or replaced. We do AC wiring throughout Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay.

Marinco GFCI FAQ
Where should GFCI outlets go on a boat?
Anywhere an outlet could get wet or is near a sink or the head, and in exposed areas like the cockpit. One GFCI can also protect outlets wired downstream of it on the same circuit.
My GFCI keeps tripping. Is it bad?
Not necessarily. Frequent tripping can mean moisture in an outlet, a faulty appliance, or a wiring fault downstream. Press the test and reset buttons to check the GFCI itself, then look for the source before replacing it.
Can I swap a regular outlet for a GFCI myself?
AC wiring on a boat carries shock risk and has to follow ABYC practice for line and load terminals and grounding. If you're not comfortable with AC work, contact us.
