Should I buy a kit or the alternator and regulator separately?
Each kit pairs a Zeus alternator with the AZ1000 regulator, so you get a matched set in one order. If you already own an AZ1000, or only need to replace one half of the system, buy the piece you need from Zeus alternators or Zeus regulators.
What else do I need to install a kit?
Plan for alternator output and negative cables sized for the current and the length of the run, a fuse or breaker on the output, and a belt drive that can handle the load. Some engines also need a mounting kit. You'll find cable in Ancor battery cable and mounting kits and shunts in Zeus charging accessories.
