Do solar vents need wiring?
No. They are self-powered by their own solar panel, so they only need a properly sized and sealed hole in the deck or hatch.
Where should a solar vent go?
Place it where it gets sun and can pull air through the space you want to ventilate, often the forward cabin or head. Pairing it with a passive vent elsewhere lets air flow through the boat.
