SmartPlug Inlets
SmartPlug Shore Power Inlets in Annapolis
SmartPlug 30A and 50A boat inlets in white, grey, black, and 316 stainless. The inlet flange matches the standard twist-lock 4-hole pattern, so a SmartPlug inlet usually fits the existing cutout. The inlet pairs with a SmartPlug female connector on the boat end of your shore power cord.
A burned inlet is often a sign of trouble behind it. Call (410) 263-0807 and we'll check the wiring when we swap the inlet. We install SmartPlug throughout Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay.

SmartPlug Inlets FAQ
What should I check behind the inlet when I replace it?
Look at the wire ends that land on the inlet. If the insulation is discolored, brittle, or the copper is dark and corroded, cut back to clean wire or replace the run. Heat damage usually starts with a loose or corroded connection, so torque the new terminals properly.
Which finish should I choose?
White, grey, black, and stainless are mainly a matter of matching your hull and deck hardware. Pick the amperage first to match your boat's shore power system, then the finish. Our inlet & connector kits pair the inlet with the matching cord connector.
Does the dock end of my cord change?
No. The SmartPlug inlet only changes the boat end of the cord, which needs a SmartPlug female connector. The pedestal end stays a standard twist-type plug. A SmartPlug-to-twist-type cordset gives you both ends ready to go.
