Will a wireless charger work with my phone?
Your phone has to support wireless charging. Thick or metal-backed cases and some mounts can block it, so try charging without the case if it won't start. If your phone doesn't charge wirelessly, a USB socket is the better choice.
Hidden or surface-mount charger?
A hidden charger mounts under the surface so nothing shows, but the surface material and thickness have to suit it, so check the listing limits first. A surface-mount charger is simpler to fit and works on any flat spot. Either way, put it where the phone stays put when the boat moves.
