Garmin Marine Network

Garmin BlueNet network cables, switches, and gateways, plus legacy Marine Network RJ45 cables, adapters, and PoE isolation couplers. Connect every Garmin device — chartplotters, radars, sonar modules, and cameras — into one networked helm. Marine Electric Systems sells and installs Garmin electronics in Annapolis, Maryland.

Garmin Marine Network FAQ

Should I use BlueNet or legacy Marine Network cables?

Match the connectors on your devices. BlueNet is Garmin's newer network, and older devices use the RJ45-style Marine Network connectors. Adapters let you join the two when you mix older and newer equipment.

When do I need a network switch?

When you have more networked devices than your chartplotter has network ports. A switch lets displays, radar, sonar modules, and cameras all share data on one network.

What is a PoE isolation coupler for?

It passes network data between devices while breaking the electrical path between them, which prevents ground loops that can cause interference or corrosion. Garmin calls for one in certain installs, so check the installation manual for your devices.
