Blue Sea Fuse Blocks & Fuses
Blue Sea Systems Fuse Blocks & Fuses in Annapolis
Blue Sea fuse blocks, fuse holders, and replacement fuses for marine DC systems, from ATC/ATO blade fuse blocks for branch circuits up to MAXI, MEGA/AMG, and Class T fuses for high-current battery and inverter feeds. Class T fuses are a common choice right at the battery on lithium banks, where available fault current is high.
Call (410) 263-0807 for help choosing fuse type and size for your battery bank or inverter. We design and install fused DC distribution throughout Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay.

Blue Sea Fuse Blocks & Fuses FAQ
What is a fuse's interrupt rating, and why does it matter?
The interrupt rating is the most fault current a fuse can safely break. A large battery bank, especially lithium, can deliver enormous current in a dead short, and a fuse with too low a rating may fail to clear it. That's why high-interrupt fuses like Class T are used on big battery feeds; see our lithium battery installation page.
Can I replace a blown fuse with a bigger one?
No. The fuse is sized to protect the wire, and a larger fuse lets that wire overheat before anything trips. A fuse that keeps blowing points to a fault or an overloaded circuit, so find the cause first.
Where should a fuse block be mounted?
Put it in a dry, accessible spot where you can see and replace fuses easily. The cable feeding the block needs its own fuse or breaker near the battery, sized to that cable. A matching negative busbar nearby keeps the return side just as tidy.
