ARCO Zeus Regulators
ARCO Zeus Regulators in Annapolis
The ARCO Zeus High-Energy Alternator Regulator (AZ1000) is the external regulator that runs a high-output Zeus alternator, and the AZ1000X extended package adds longer battery and alternator harnesses for installs where the regulator mounts farther from the engine. The regulator controls charging to match your battery chemistry and protects the alternator under long, heavy charging. Pair it with a Zeus alternator, or buy both together as an alternator + regulator kit.
Setting up a regulator correctly means programming it for your battery bank and wiring its sensors in the right places. Call (410) 263-0807 to plan a Zeus charging system. We design and install charging systems throughout Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay.

ARCO Zeus Regulators FAQ
Should I get the AZ1000 or the AZ1000X?
Both are the same Zeus regulator. The AZ1000X adds longer battery and alternator harnesses, so choose it when the regulator will mount well away from the engine. If it will sit close to the engine, the standard AZ1000 is usually enough.
Do I need to set the regulator up for lithium batteries?
Yes. The Zeus regulator is configured for your battery chemistry, and lithium, AGM, and flooded batteries each need different charge settings. Set it for the bank you actually have before the first run. See our lithium battery page if you're planning a lithium upgrade.
Can I buy a replacement harness for my regulator?
Yes. Replacement harness kits for the AZ1000 and AZ1000X, along with temperature sensors, are in Zeus charging accessories. Match the harness to the regulator version you have.
