Scanstrut — Mounting, Sealing, and Charging Gear Built for Boats
Scanstrut makes the hardware that gets electronics onto a boat and keeps water out of the holes. Their PowerTower mounts lift radar domes, open arrays, Starlink dishes, and cameras clear of the deck. Their DS cable seals let a cable pass through the deck with its connector still on, then seal around it. And the ROKK line covers phone and tablet mounts plus waterproof wireless and USB chargers for the helm and cockpit.
Why Scanstrut
- Cable seals that save connectors. DS-Series seals open up so a cable can pass through the deck without cutting off the plug, then close and seal around the cable.
- Mounts sized to the job. PowerTower mounts come in 6" and 10" heights, aft or forward leaning, with top plates matched to specific radar, satcom, and Starlink units.
- Charging that handles weather. ROKK wireless chargers and Flip Pro sockets are made for exposed helms, cockpits, and flybridges on 12V and 24V systems.
- Modular ROKK mounts. Mix bases, arms, and clamps to hold a phone, tablet, or small display on a rail, a flat surface, or a suction cup.
Installation in Annapolis
A radar mount or a new cable seal means a hole in the deck or hardtop, and the right backing, sealant, and cable routing matter as much as the part itself. We install Scanstrut mounts and seals as part of radar, Starlink, camera, and charging upgrades, and we wire chargers and sockets to proper fused circuits. Contact us to plan an install.
Scanstrut FAQ
Which cable seal do I need?
Start with the largest connector that has to pass through the deck, then the cable diameter. The number in a DS seal's model generally tracks the largest connector size in millimeters it accepts, so a DS30 takes bigger plugs than a DS21. Check the connector and cable sizes listed on each product. Shop cable seals.
Which PowerTower fits my radar?
Pick by radar type (dome or open array), the height you need to clear people and other gear, and whether the mount should lean aft or forward. Then add the top plate made for your radar brand. Shop radar mounts.
Can I mount Starlink with Scanstrut?
Yes. Scanstrut makes Starlink-specific PowerTower and wedge mounts, tapered masts that hold a radar dome and Starlink together, and Starlink-compatible cable seals sized for the Starlink cable.
Do you install what you sell?
